Newsletter Editor is an appointed position

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • General duties of all Officers
  • Collect photographs and news stories throughout the year
  • Create and distribute electronic newsletters at least 6 times per year
  • Create and distribute paper newsletters at least twice a year
  • Submit an article and picture to be published in the District newsletter quarterly
  • Submit an article and picture to be published in the Council or Lodge newsletter at least quarterly
  • Create the slide show for the chapter banquet

Time Commitment (all are required)

  • Solicitation of content (stories and photographs) – 1 to 2 hours per month
  • Layout, publication, and distribution of newsletter – 2 to 4 hours a quarter

Personal skills and talents

  • Interest in journalism and/or photography
  • Access to computer / e-mail and/or color printer for publication and distribution of the newsletter.
